Course Requirements

This e-learning course is designed for individuals who are interested in learning about violence against women, including its various forms, the impact on survivors, and the strategies for prevention and intervention. No prior knowledge is required, but participants should be willing to engage in critical reflection and active participation. Course Description

This e-learning course offers an in-depth exploration of violence against women, examining its forms, impact, and the steps individuals and communities can take to combat it. Learners will explore domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking, focusing on recognizing signs of abuse and understanding the importance of support services.

Through real-world case studies and interactive exercises, learners will become familiar with legal frameworks that protect women, the role of digital advocacy, and strategies for promoting gender equality and safer environments. The course also highlights global and community efforts aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to advance gender equality and justice.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

1. Identify and Recognize Forms of Violence Against Women

2. Understand Prevention Strategies and Support Services

Identify and discuss key prevention strategies for creating safer environments.

3. Promote Gender Equality and Safer Communities

Relate violence prevention strategies to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 5 and SDG 16).
