Welcome to
"Women Empowerment and Sustainable Development," a course designed to
explore the critical intersections between gender equity and sustainable
development. This course will guide you through the foundational concepts, challenges,
and global strategies aimed at promoting women's empowerment as a key factor in

Women play a
pivotal role in driving economic progress, social well-being, and environmental
sustainability. Yet, gender inequalities remain a significant barrier in many

This course is
structured into four key modules, each designed to deepen your understanding of
women empowerment across multiple dimensions and its vital connection to
sustainable development. Below is a brief description of each module:
Module 1:

provides an introduction to the fundamental concepts of gender empowerment, including
historical and theoretical perspectives. Participants will explore global
gender disparities, frameworks for gender equality, and key international
conventions that promote women's rights. The goal is to understand how gender

Domains of Women Empowerment
Focusing on the
