Fundamentals of Information Security introduces students to the basic principles, concepts, and practices of protecting information systems and data. The course covers core topics such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA triad), common security threats and vulnerabilities, cryptography fundamentals, network and system security, access control, and basic security management. Students will develop an understanding of information security risks, security technologies, and best practices, laying a solid foundation for further study and practical application in information security and cybersecurity fields.
