Located in Donghu Education Park, Haojiang District, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, China, Shantou Preschool Teacher Training College is a public higher vocational institution specializing in preschool and teacher education. The college traces its history back to 1956 and was officially established in 2021 following the development and restructuring of earlier teacher training institutions in Shantou. It is recognized as the only preschool teacher training college in eastern Guangdong and serves as a provincial training base for kindergarten principals and preschool teachers, as well as a teaching and research base for basic education subjects and a national pilot unit for modern apprenticeship. As of 2026, the college covers approximately 859 mu (57.3 hectares), with 8 teaching institutions, 26 higher vocational programmes, and 416 faculty and staff members. With a strong focus on teacher education and practical training, the college is committed to preparing qualified professionals for preschool and basic education.
