The course introduces the origins and evolution of tea culture in China, major categories and characteristics of Chinese tea, and the relationship between tea production, preparation, appreciation, and cultural traditions. Key topics include tea varieties and their distinctive qualities, traditional tea utensils, tea preparation methods, tea-serving procedures, and principles of tea etiquette. Attention is also given to the aesthetic, philosophical, and social dimensions of tea culture, including the values of harmony, respect, mindfulness, and appreciation reflected in traditional tea practices.
